Winifred and Leslie are settlers on Treaty 13 Land, the traditional territories of many Indigenous Nations including the Mississaugas of the Credit, the Anishnabeg, the Chippewa, the Haudenosaunee and the Wendat peoples, and home to many diverse First Nations, Inuit, and Métis Peoples from across Turtle Island.
Winifred Hunsburger (she, her) Ed.D. ATC is an educator with over 35 years of experience teaching young people and adults. She is an Adler Trained Coach (ATC) and a certified International Facilitator with NSRF/Harmony Education. She has additional training in facilitation from Anima Leadership and has completed the Anima Inclusive Leadership Certificate. She is currently a participant in the Canadian Facilitator Preparation Program with the Center for Courage and Renewal. She completed a Doctorate in Education at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education at the University of Toronto.
Leslie Chandler (she, her) is an adult educator with over 35 years experience working with expectant families, midwives, midwifery and nursing students and other educators. Currently she is a Patient Education Specialist at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre. She holds a certificate in Applied Mindfulness Meditation from the University of Toronto and integrates mindfulness practices into her teaching and daily life. She is currently a participant in the Canadian Facilitator Preparation Program with the Center for Courage and Renewal.
